I'm having to relocate back to the UK for my job, and I have a gorgeous dog Scruff who I'm battling to take with me BUT I'm beginning to believe that it may be kinder to find a good and loving home for him here. My key problem is that he relocated with me from Singapore to Cape Town 2.5 years ago but CPT Quarantine lost his papers. This is compounded by the UK being extremely strict with animal entry, and then the fact that he'd have to endure 6 months quarantine, and after which a dramatically restricted lifestyle thereafter. Scruff is 8 years old, and a real character who absolutely lives for his freedom and his walks and runs. He currently runs to the top of Table Mountain about 3 times a week (from the very bottom) He's very active and fit, loves his walks and runs and would really suit someone who's a fitness fanatic and wants a running companion... Or otherwise someone who loves walking and wants a companion...which is what led me to find the CRAG website.

He's great off the lead and will just walk or run with you. He doesn't get into fights (having been beaten up a few times in the past...) His usual aversion method is to run away at high speed! He also loves kids and babies and is incredibly good and patient with them. Scuff turned up on my doorstep in Singapore as a stray asking for a home... From a flea-bitten scruffy mutt he's turned into a real characterful, protective and loving friend and it's heartbreaking to have to leave him - but I really believe that it's the kindest thing to do - but only if I can find the right home. Please do pass this on to your friends... Just in case anyone feels in need of a new addition to their family!
